Simple Homemade Pizza

A fun, hands-on meal that kids can help assemble. Using a quick no-yeast dough that does not require rising time, topped with tomato sauce, cheese, and colorful vegetables.

  • 1 cup self-raising flour
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons tomato passata or pizza sauce
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 1/4 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 4-5 cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 2-3 basil leaves (optional)

    Preheat oven to 220C/425F. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.

    In a bowl, mix self-raising flour, Greek yogurt, and olive oil until a dough forms.

    Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 1-2 minutes until smooth.

    Roll or press the dough into a circle about 20-22cm (8-9 inches) across.

    Transfer to the lined baking tray.

    Spread tomato passata evenly over the dough, leaving a 1cm border.

    Sprinkle grated mozzarella over the sauce.

    Arrange bell pepper slices and cherry tomato halves on top.

    Bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.

    Remove from oven and let cool for 3-4 minutes.

    Add fresh basil leaves if using.
