Soft Porridge with Mashed Banana

  • 3 tablespoons porridge oats (not instant)
  • 1/2 cup whole milk or water
  • 1/2 ripe banana
  • 1 teaspoon unsalted butter

    Cook over medium-low heat, stirring frequently, for 5-6 minutes until thick and creamy.

    The porridge should be very soft with no chewy oat pieces.

    Mash half a banana with a fork until no large lumps remain.
