Homemade Chicken Nuggets with Honey Mustard Dip

Crispy baked chicken nuggets with a golden breadcrumb coating and a simple honey mustard dipping sauce. So much better than store-bought, and kids cannot get enough of them.

  • 1 large chicken breast, cut into bite-size chunks
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko works best for extra crunch)
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Small pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon mild mustard

    Preheat oven to 200°C/400°F. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and lightly brush with olive oil.

    In a shallow bowl, mix breadcrumbs, parmesan, garlic powder, paprika, and salt.

    Beat the egg in a separate shallow bowl.

    Take each chicken chunk and dip it first into the beaten egg, letting the excess drip off.

    Then press the chicken into the breadcrumb mixture, turning to coat all sides evenly. Press the crumbs on firmly so they stick.

    Place coated chicken pieces on the prepared baking tray, leaving space between each one.

    Lightly spray or drizzle a little olive oil over the tops of the nuggets.

    Bake for 15-18 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through with no pink remaining.

    While nuggets bake, make the dipping sauce by stirring together yogurt, honey, and mustard until smooth.
