Creamy Chicken, Carrot & Apple Comfort Mash

Ingredients(6)

  • 1/4 cup boneless skinless chicken breast, cut in small pieces
  • 1/3 cup carrot, peeled and chopped
  • 1/4 medium apple, peeled and chopped (sweet variety)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted mashed potato (cooked, plain)
  • 2–3 tbsp breast milk or formula
  • 1 tsp unsalted butter or olive oil

Instructions(6 steps)

    Boil carrot and apple in a small pot of water until very soft (8–10 min)

    Add chicken pieces to the same pot and simmer until cooked through (6–8 min)

    Drain, reserving a few spoonfuls of cooking water (1 min)

    Add cooked carrot, apple, chicken, mashed potato, butter/oil, and cooking water to a bowl (2 min)

    Blend or mash to a smooth, slightly thick puree with tiny soft bits (3–4 min)

    Cool to lukewarm and serve in small spoonfuls (2 min)
