Turkey and Carrot Puree

A protein-rich puree introducing lean turkey alongside sweet carrot. Turkey is an excellent early meat with mild flavor and high iron content.

Ingredients(5)

  • 60g lean turkey mince or diced turkey breast
  • 1 medium carrot, peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup water or low-sodium stock
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 2-3 tablespoons breast milk, formula, or cooking liquid

    Peel and slice the carrot into thin rounds.

    Steam or boil carrot for 12-15 minutes until very soft.

    Meanwhile, heat olive oil in a small pan.

    Add turkey and cook thoroughly, breaking into small pieces (8-10 mins).

    Add water or stock to the turkey and simmer for 5 minutes.

    Combine cooked turkey and carrot in a blender.

    Add breast milk, formula, or cooking liquid.

    Blend to a thick, smooth consistency with slight texture.

    Add more liquid if needed for your baby's stage.
